RIP Micheal Jackson (again)

Tue Jul 7, 2009, 8:22 PM
  • Mood: Not Impressed
  • Listening to: The voices in my head
  • Reading: Godchild
  • Watching: Saw UP last Friday!
  • Playing: Mind Games
  • Eating: Pizza
  • Drinking: The blood of over possessive teen crushers
Folks, what is up with this? Weren't we just a few years ago saying how horrible and creepy the creep was? Seriously! What happened to all the scandal of him being a child-molester and creepy plastic-happy scumbag? Everybody was making such a big deal over this, and now that he's dead, we're all making freaking monuments and shrines to him! I'm not one for cursing or swearing but... WHAT THE FUCK? It's like we hate this guy, he dies, and now out of some lame "respect for the dead" or whatever, we all wish he was still here! Not me dammit! Not saying I'm HAPPY he's dead, not saying I ever wished him dead (I'd never do that, and really, I don't care that much, I'm just sick and tired of not being able to go to a grocery store, mall, favorite website, radio station, and having to hear about how wonderful this bastard was! )

Honestly, I wouldn't care if it weren't for the fact that EVERYBODY'S SO FREAKING "OH MY GOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S DEAD. WAAAAAHHHH!!!" People! Come on! This guy was a mediocre artist, a mass media-proclamed King of a really shitty genre of music, and a sick, perverted freak who tortured innocent young boys! There has been so much scandal he's done that the mainstream media condemned him for and NOW all of the sudden, these same morons are crying and mourning this perverted son of a bitch who ended up looking like a woman by the time he was done ( ? ) with his constant makeover after makeover plastic surgeries!

I'm just happy that I know that people what they are, give this whole thing a month... maybe less if we're lucky, and people will go back to forgetting this poor bastard and I can go back to not hearing the words "Micheal Jackson will always be a legend remembered in our hearts" excessivly. Can't wait for that time to come.

A month? No, no dearest Fishy lady. Mournography is a serious practice among the crazy first world countries. We still hear about Princess Di, do we not? Marilyn Monroe? ELVIS?

There also is a philosophy that (excuse ~AlfredAskew for whom I'm butchering) everyone who dies is the greatest person ever. Notice how when you hear about HS students dying on the news, even if they were bitches, people still come out in hoards to say how awesome they were.

For MJ it's a WHOLE different ball park. Some people I know, (like my dance teacher) really respected the man as an ARTIST not a pedophile. She was brought up on his music, and it was a big part of her life. Now, i can see that being sad for her. But for the majority of people, they're just looking to be part of a group. Someone who can say, with a lot of other someone's that they got together and were "touched" by his music.

I'm kind of sick of the media circus as well though. SICK.

I want Jon and Kate Gosselin back on my tabloids goddamnit!

XO
M

Well, to quote my old music teacher when all of that pedo stuff went down, "Great music...sucky human being."

But thank God, someone else who feels the way I do! Seriously, I'm getting sick of seeing him all the time on the news. This morning they were still trying to figure out what killed him. I thought we settled this: CARDIAC ARREST!!!! *sigh*

You know, I've always thought that was interesting that once someone drops dead, doesn't matter how nasty or inept they were while alive, all anyone can remember is all the wonderful things they did/were. I think the part that took the cake was when Al Sharpton got up and started crediting him for, oh, what was the phrase he used, "bringing down the curtain of racial inequality" and helping us get to the point where we have a black president or some other tripe. Yep, forget MLK Jr., forget Rosa Parks, nope, it was all Michael!

Oh, and you're gonna love this: I've heard rumors that they're going to try and either get his birthday or death day recognized as a holiday! When will the madness end?!?!!

Well... when I said "a month" I actually meant for how long this is going to parade in the media, and yes, there will always be these fanatics who pledge absolute loyality to him who will never let it go. I think that's what it is too, a lot of people are mourning just because they think it's their duty as fans. He didn't seem like the kind of guy who was happy with his life to me.

I don't really like the guy, never liked his music, and even didn't know who exactly MJ was until I asked Dad one day at age nine... I think. But yeah, I'd basically care a lot less if I wasn't so sick of the media being a bunch of blood-sucking hypocrits!

Yes! Thank God in Heaven and all of which he blesses! Someone else with a like mind on this subject!

Okay, a holiday? I hope that we would get school off on that day, y'know, just for those of us who really don't care or don't like the jackass. Ug... Anyway, I can't believe everyone's making such a big deal out of this that Mom has to freaking change the NPR radio station everytime we're in the car because they always have some "memorial tribute" to the bastard for hours on end (I don't like NPR anyway, so I guess that's a good thing) .

Anyway, sorry for the cursing and swearing, but thank you very much!

Really depends. I don't know if it would be his birthday, or the day he died. I don't know his birthday, but if it's his death date, then chances for school off are pretty slim, seeing as it was at the end of June. However, days off of work may be in order...*grin*

I feel for you about the memorial crap. I went to the local Borders Express to kill time before going to a movie with my sister today, walked in the entrance, looked to my right...BAM!! The magazine section was like the Wall of Michael Jackson. I just rolled my eyes and said, "Oh, for the love of God..." Then of course there was more crap in the back, some sort of tribute book. But, Lord, I was surprised how quickly they printed those out!
